International Transplant
Our vision is a lifesaving transplant for everyone in need – and that extends beyond U.S. borders. Equitable access to organ donation and transplantation is an increasing priority in the global health community, as the economic burden of chronic disease management continues to grow for many countries around the world. As advances in organ donation and transplant services are increasingly accessible for more and more countries around the world, UNOS is there to provide its counsel and expertise.
UNOS is uniquely positioned to support international efforts to increase access to safe and equitable organ donation and transplantation. UNOS International is built upon decades of experience and lessons learned stewarding the U.S. organ donation and transplant system and an extensive network of best practice experts, clinicians, allocation policymakers, and technologists. Through this network of talent and knowledge, we help countries develop, grow and strengthen their donation and transplant systems through a tailored, collaborative consulting approach to health systems strengthening.
UNOS International guides and provides health systems across the globe with:
• Donation and transplant standards and policy development
• Monitoring and compliance frameworks
• International benchmarking
• Research and data analytics
• Education
• Emerging technology
• Counsel on best practices and collaborative improvement
